Welcome to the Niagara Regional Police Service Recruiting Unit. We are responsible for meeting, recruiting and hiring only the best applicants to join the Niagara Regional Police Service as uniformed police constables. We are also responsible for the hiring of auxiliary officers and special constables which is completed once per year.

The Recruiting Unit is currently comprised of one Sergeant and two Constables dedicated to recruiting and hiring police officers for the Niagara Regional Police Service. We also have a dedicated civilian staff assigned as administrative assistants who are responsible for the majority of contact with candidates, preparing applicant files, scheduling interviews, medical appointments, and psychologist appointments for candidates at various stages of the recruiting process.

Our goal is to meet and recruit qualified candidates by attending as many career fairs, community events, high schools, colleges and universities to provide the most current information on the Niagara Regional Police Service recruiting process to potential applicants.

We are responsible for reviewing and scoring applications, both written and face-to-face interviews, assigning background investigators, liaising with psychologists and medical doctors to ensure the application process is most efficient.
